  • 5 cups watermelon, seeds removed

  • 3 to 4 tablespoons superfine sugar or to taste

  • 2 to 4 tablespoons fresh lime or lemon juice (to taste)

  • Ice cubes

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Purée the watermelon, 3 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons lime or lemon juice in a blender. Taste and adjust the sugar and citrus juice if desired. Pour through a strainer into a large pitcher and drain without pressing the solids. Skim off any foam and serve over ice in tall glasses.
