This is one of the best cocktails my husband and I have tasted. A true muddler will help get more juice from the berries; the first time we winged it and it was still good. Floral, light, delicious, and not strong. A winner!
Made for a group as follows: Base: 3oz crème de cassis 9oz lime juice 9oz simple syrup 12oz tequila To make 2 drinks at a time: Muddle 3 strawberries. 5 shots of base. Ice. Shake. Split between 2 glasses. Top with bubbly (slowly!) Was a hit!
What a delicious cocktail for Valentine’s Day! We didn’t have a muddler on hand, so we blended everything but the sparkling wine. Juicy, fresh, and easy to enjoy.
This is a nice summery cocktail, the muddled strawberry taste really comes through. Next time I will cut the simple syrup (sugar) in half to make it more refreshing. Presentation is very nice!
