Ingredients
1 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon honey
2 tablespoons chicken stock
¼ teaspoon salt
½ pound snow peas, or about 3 cups
Preparation
- Step 1
Place everything but snow peas in a shallow, wide sauté pan over medium-high heat. Stir and bring to a boil.
- Step 2
Add snow peas, toss to coat and stir occasionally just until peas are cooked, about 3 minutes. Serve immediately.
Glazing also works well with turnips and other vegetables, though thicker vegetables may need more liquid and time to cook.

Melted butter in a small area of the pan and sauteed a clove of minced garlic and an eighth tsp crushed red pepper. Added snow peas, stock, and honey, mixed and cooked per the recipe. Removed snow peas and tossed with 3/4's tsp balsamic vinegar.

The snow peas should be trimmed of their "strings" before cooking.
