Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together salt, sugar, cumin and cayenne. Stir in oil to make a smooth mixture.

  2. Step 2

    Toss pecans with seasonings to coat. Arrange on cookie sheet in single layer. Toast 8 to 10 minutes, until they take on a little color. Cool, and serve. (They will keep in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for a week.)

I thought this was delicious and easy to make. I substituted 1 tsp butter for one of the tsp. of oil. But I’m sure it would be great either way. Will be making this again.

Not a fan of this --- underwhelming --- and the proportions seem off --- confusing flavors
