I play with the sugar: a spiced simple syrup with orange peel and vanilla and/or orgeat instead of the basic simple syrup, but otherwise my go-to party in a glass cocktail recipe!
Wasn't as sweet as I expected and had a little too much lime flavor for my taste. In the future I'll cut down on the lime juice and add some extra simple syrup.
A 1/2oz of Allspice Dram is awesome in here
Delicious! Made this in a cocktail shaker with banana juice equal to the rum portions and previously stashed simple syrup. Have done the blender with the frozen bananas before, which works great too. I just didn't want the kiddie version this time. If your are concerned about sweetness, as with salt in cooking, it helps to add the syrup a bit at a time giving it a taste. For me 1 oz was perfect. Frozen bananas are also great in a smoothie base.
