Ingredients
Yield:About three and one-half cups
½ cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons sherry
3 tablespoons minced fresh ginger (unpeeled)
4 large cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
2 ½ cups water
Preparation
- Step 1
Combine the soy sauce, sherry, ginger, garlic and water in the bottom of the steaming equipment. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute. Begin steaming. Add boiling water if too much of the liquid evaporates before cooking is complete.
