I like cottage cheese and I am always looking for new and interesting breakfast ideas. This fit the bill nicely. Fast and tasty. Good effort to reward ratio! I will be putting this into the breakfast rotation.
I just tried this. Now, my recent go-to breakfast has been a concoction my suster has dubbed "Apple Vomit" which is cottage cheese, peanut butter, a touch of honey or maple syrup, and some cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice, so this is just a variation on that theme. I used a raw tahini (the sesame seeds are not toasted) and maple syrup because I'm out of honey, and topped it with banana. It scales down beautifully to one serving, and it is tasty!
Really tasty quick recipe. If anyone is in the UK, I cannot recommend the Longley Farm cottage cheese brand enough!
I’m not a fan of cottage cheese, and really dislike it with fruit, but this recipe intrigued me. Somehow the tahini bridges the gap between the cottage cheese, which my brain reads as savory, and the sweet fruit. I really enjoyed it!
This is wonderful. Just wonderful. I did not use sesame seeds or salt, but instead added some chopped nuts. Not sure it will have enough calories for me with the suggested portion size, but that is easily fixed!
Tahini and cottage cheese was a really surprising combination to me, but it strengthens the flavor of the cheese and makes for a really comforting texture!
