Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Boil peas in their pods in salted water for 10 minutes. Drain and place in one or two bowls.

  2. Step 2

    Melt butter over low heat and place in two or more bowls.

  3. Step 3

    To eat, take a pod by the stem, dip it into the butter and suck the peas out while scraping the thin, sweet layer of the pod.
