  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • ½ pound pitted dried dates

  • ¾ cup walnut pieces (3 ounces)

  • ¾ cup blanched whole almonds (4 ½ ounces)

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • Pinch ground cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Grate the apples with a grater or with the shredding disk in a food processor. Place in a bowl and stir in lemon juice. Set aside.

  2. Step 2

    Place dates and nuts in a food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped. Stir date mixture into apples with honey and cinnamon.
