Ingredients
Yield:3½ cups
2 large tart apples, peeled and cored
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
½ pound pitted dried dates
¾ cup walnut pieces (3 ounces)
¾ cup blanched whole almonds (4 ½ ounces)
2 tablespoons honey
Pinch ground cinnamon
Preparation
- Step 1
Grate the apples with a grater or with the shredding disk in a food processor. Place in a bowl and stir in lemon juice. Set aside.
- Step 2
Place dates and nuts in a food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped. Stir date mixture into apples with honey and cinnamon.
