Ingredients
½ honeydew melon
3 cups store-bought lemonade
1 ½ cups vodka
½ cup raspberry liqueur, such as Chambord
¼ cup fresh lemon juice (from 1 to 2 lemons)
Ice, as needed
Preparation
- Step 1
Use a melon baller or mini ice cream scoop to scoop the honeydew into balls. (These serve as your tennis ball garnish.) Freeze until ready to serve.
- Step 2
Combine the lemonade, vodka, raspberry liqueur and lemon juice in a pitcher or large measuring cup. Stir with a wooden spoon and refrigerate until very cold, about 30 minutes.
- Step 3
Fill highball or old-fashioned glasses with ice. Stir the batched cocktail once more and divide it among the glasses. Skewer 2 melon balls with a toothpick to garnish each drink.
If you want more melon flavor, you can freeze the melon balls ahead of time and add them to the batched cocktail while it chills.

Measurements for one drink from the Grey Goose site: 1.25 oz vodka 3 oz lemonade ½ oz Chambord
Don't mix the Chambord with the other ingredients. Pour the lemon/vodka mixture into the ice-filled glasses, then add the Chambord to each glass. That will provide a bit of a layering effect and a less muddy look.
Why would you use “store bought lemonade” when fresh lemon juice, sugar and water would suffice and be infinitely more delicious?
Like Kermit sang: 50 ways to love your liver.
This is always a crowd-pleaser. I like to use an italian sparkling lemonade to lend some effervescence if making individual drinks
Gin? Not a vodka fan.
