Yield:About four cups
Shells from raw shrimp
5 cups water
6 black peppercorns
¼ cup coarsely chopped onions
2 ribs celery coarsely chopped
1 bay leaf
Preparation

Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer for 20 minutes and strain.
