I was a little skeptical about putting cabbage in a smoothie, but this is surprisingly delicious! Instead of almonds and ice cubes, I used about a third of a cup of almond milk.
I followed the tip to use almond milk since I always have it on hand for smoothie making and didn't want it to just sit. Used 1/3 cup. This was so good!! My day will now be amazing.
If you add dairy to the berries, it cancels out the antioxidant benefit of the berries.
I subbed microgreens for the cabbage, hemp seeds for the almonds, and kombucha for the orange juice. Not too sweet, and pleasantly tart.
Really delicious! I used 1/3c almond milk as recommended by others, blood orange juice since I didn’t have oranges on hand, and I did a 50/50 ratio of frozen cherries to frozen mixed berries (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry). Forgot to add the ice, but the texture was still good.
This is so yummy. I boost with a scoop of unflavoured protein powder.
