I was a little skeptical about putting cabbage in a smoothie, but this is surprisingly delicious! Instead of almonds and ice cubes, I used about a third of a cup of almond milk.
If you add dairy to the berries, it cancels out the antioxidant benefit of the berries.
Delicious recipe! I added some lemon Greek yogurt for some protein and was quite pleased with the tangy flavor. However be warned that the addition of yogurt likely will mute the cherry red color. I suggest adding beet powder if you’d like to intensify the color without altering the taste.
This is so yummy. I boost with a scoop of unflavoured protein powder.
This was quite good, and even my kids loved it! Perhaps I drink a lot of smoothie, but I wouldn't say this made a "generous" portion. Next time, I would double it. It also needed a bit more orange juice. All and all, fantastic!
I followed the tip to use almond milk since I always have it on hand for smoothie making and didn't want it to just sit. Used 1/3 cup. This was so good!! My day will now be amazing.
