  • 1 loaf of French bread like a baguette

  • 1 large garlic clove peeled and left whole

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven broiler.

  2. Step 2

    Rub the bread's crust all over with the garlic clove.

  3. Step 3

    Slice the bread on the bias ¼ inch thick. Arrange the slices in a baking dish, brush with the oil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  4. Step 4

    Place under the broiler until golden brown on one side. Turn and brown lightly on the reverse side.
