Ingredients
8 ounces bourbon
4 ounces fresh lime juice
4 ounces mint-infused simple syrup*
4 ounces Concord grape reduction**
4 cups ice
Mint sprigs, for garnish
Preparation

In a blender, combine and blend ingredients until smooth.
- Step 2
Serve in silver julep cups or tall glasses. Garnish with mint.
*FOR MINT SYRUP Bring 1 cup each of sugar and water to boil; reduce heat to low, add small bunch of fresh mint. Simmer 10 minutes. Strain and cool before using.**FOR GRAPE REDUCTION In cheesecloth sachet, combine cinnamon stick, 1 star anise, 3 cloves, 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns, ¼ teaspoon anise seeds. In saucepan, combine a quart of Concord grapes with sachet and ½ cup water; simmer over medium-low heat until grapes break down and soften, about 45 minutes. Discard sachet; strain mixture to remove seeds. Cool uncovered in refrigerator, and use within week.
