A few choice additions can make the common breakfast of fruit and cottage cheese anything but ordinary. Drizzles of tahini and honey give the bowl a rich, nutty, savory and creamy edge, while toasted sesame seeds double down on the sesame flavor and add a delicate crunch. It’s hard to think of a fruit that wouldn’t be good here: Pile on bananas, berries, stone fruits, melons, apples and pears, grapes, citrus, persimmon or pomegranate seeds.

I like cottage cheese and I am always looking for new and interesting breakfast ideas. This fit the bill nicely. Fast and tasty. Good effort to reward ratio! I will be putting this into the breakfast rotation.

I just tried this. Now, my recent go-to breakfast has been a concoction my suster has dubbed "Apple Vomit" which is cottage cheese, peanut butter, a touch of honey or maple syrup, and some cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice, so this is just a variation on that theme. I used a raw tahini (the sesame seeds are not toasted) and maple syrup because I'm out of honey, and topped it with banana. It scales down beautifully to one serving, and it is tasty!

Really tasty quick recipe. If anyone is in the UK, I cannot recommend the Longley Farm cottage cheese brand enough!

This sounded weird to me at first, but now I can’t stop making this.

Really delicious! Made it with blackberries, dried dates and pomegranate seeds and topped with torn mint leaves. One of the best breakfasts in recent memory!

Adding a squeeze of tahini and honey is such a low-effort, high-reward move! Love this!
