  • ¾ ounce Campari

  • ½ ounce lime juice

  • ½ ounce grapefruit juice

  • Grapefruit twist, for garnish

I think some simple syrup is missing from this recipe.

If you replace the Campari with Contratto, you might not need simple syrup. It’s the substitution I just made (because that’s what I had at hand and being under quarantine, I didn’t see the need to go to the local liquor store). I don’t know if it’s still technically a Siesta, but it’s delicious.

I love it. Definitely for fans of bitter drinks like the Negroni. Will try with a real smoky mescal next.

I used curaçao as my liqueur but also found 2 oz of tequila to be overwhelming in terms of flavor. I remade it with a single shot and it was perfect

Could I use Aperol instead of Campari?
